Due to the state of the Covid-19, out break of new cases in Lincoln County and the restrictions placed on us by the local health department we have decided to cancel the 2020 convention in North Platte.
It was not an easy decision and it was not taken lightly.
Plans are to have it in North Platte next September 24th and 25th.
Thank you for your understanding.
At the spring meeting held August 2 in Albion, it was decided that the convention should still be held in North Platte. This decision was unanimously voted on by the attending members at the meeting. The convention is still contingent upon the approval of our event plan by the West Central District Health Department.
Please keep checking the facebook page and website for the most current information on the convention. Also, keep in mind, as these crazy times seem to change day-by-day, current events of the day could cause the convention to be cancelled up to the day of.
The NFH Spring Banquet has been cancelled. We are still planning on having the spring meeting at a different place and date. Please check back here for further details on the location of the spring meeting.

It was determined that the population of otters in the state would support being removed from the threatened and endangered species list. Nebraska trappers are still hopeful that someday there will be a season on otters in some form, and this action paves the way to that goal.
