The Fort Kearney Outdoor Experience was a huge success! This Nebraska Game and Park event is the second of this summer. Once again, your Nebraska Fur Harvesters were active with the two-day event. On May 8th and 9th Mike a Jean lance, Norma and Holly Jones, Shane Claeys, and I expressed the value of wildlife conservation to five groups each day. The 200 students we spoke with were area 5th & 6th-grade classes who were very receptive to sound resource conservation.
The fall convention in Chadron continues to grow. Setup for the convention will be on September 25th with full programs on the 26th and 27th. A couple of schedule changes are the fall business meeting is being held Thursday evening. After the vendor buildings close on Saturday the annual banquet and auction will be held.
Both Friday and Saturday will be filled with harvesting demos! Saturday will also include a full schedule for the youth of our future generation.

This looks to be the best convention we have had in many years.
