Just a handful of days before the Nebraska Fur Harvesters Fall convention. The countless hours/miles Mark Ross and Dave Hastings have donated organizing the event are apparent. I have received many questions from persons planning to attend.
Yes, the vendor displays, demo presentations and tailgaters make these events memorable.
At the same time keep in mind we have to show support for the NFH Assocation. Many do not realize the monetary involvement to put on such a show.
The raffles, auctions and other fund raisers are the only income the Fur harvesters have coming in. On Saturday evening a quality banquet is being held. Remember such a part of the convention can be a make or break happening. Plan to purchase a ticket and attend. Following the meal a white elephant auction (been to countless such auctions and never seen an elephant) of donated items is on the schedule. Bring those unique treasurers and assist the association to continue fighting for the way of like we chose to live.
My house sitter will be here early, so I plan to head out for Chadron, NE early. So much to see and experience in the region.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at a unique event!
